Skillful sailing was needed on Saturday but not in the way everyone had expected. All week the forecast had said it would be incredibly windy but it turned out that it would be the opposite. The wind gradually decreased over the course of four consecutive races. In the last race the wind had dropped off.

Sunblock, hats and sunglasses were essential as the summer conditions arrived for the 2024 RS Tera National Championships hosted by Thorpe Bay Yacht Club from 18th - 20th August. The fleet was made up of 52 Pro, 54 Sport and 16 in the Train and Race Regatta fleet.

Carsington Sailing Club hosted the 2024 UK RS Tera Inland Championship over the weekend of 29/30 June. A smooth run up to the event facilitated by Carsington’s Tim Bird and Steve Barnett assured us that 2024 was going to be a well-run Championship.

Rutland Sailing Club

The largest ever fleet of Teras for a Start of Season championships met at Rutland Sailing Club over the weekend of 13/14th April. The first national regatta of the season followed a very successful winter training programme, and the sailors were anxious to get out on the water. With 97 boats in the Main fleet and 16 in the Train & Race fleet this was sure to be a memorable event!
