The UK RS Tera Class Association are excited to announce the launch of their new website - www.rstera.org.uk

One small step for a Tera - one giant leap for Tera-kind!

Newly-appointed Class Development Manager, Marcus Collingbourne, was tasked with the job of envisaging a new web presence for the class, focusing on the class ethos of Fun –Train - Race and also embracing the new RYA focus on regional activity.
The new site has been designed to encourage sailors, both those new to the RS Tera, and also the experienced sailors on the International circuit.
Key to the site is the “regionality”, with each region having their own platform for communication.
After much testing and tweaking the site went live at 8pm, 2nd June 2020.

Class Chair, Rob Ahlheid said
“Key to our objective of promoting the development of RS Tera sailors at a local and regional level, we took the decision to create a new UK RS Tera Class hub. The aim was to have an easy to navigate, modern and engaging platform which will provide the backbone of our class communication structure. It will provide new Tera sailors with information on where they can get started and how to progress with the help of club and RS Tera Class regional coaching. Equally, this site will provide the Tera regions with a ‘ready to use’ platform to organise coaching and racing in their area.”
Rob added
“I am really excited about this next phase that we are taking the UK RS Tera class in, with the ultimate aim to get more young people sailing throughout the country.”

Vice Chair (Sailing) Steve Jenkins commented
“The UK RS Tera Class Association is rolling out its strategy to become more regionally focused and engaging with sailors at all levels - whether grass roots, those looking to enhance their sailing skills, right through to those competing at national level and going on to represent their country internationally now, or in the future.
In order to deliver on this strategy, the committee felt that a new website was a critical milestone that we needed to cross, and we are very proud with the end result.
As an RYA Recognised Youth Class, the RS Tera provides a great platform to have fun, learn and compete at Club, Regional and National level. The RS Tera family are looking forward to welcoming new members to the UK RS Tera Class Association and very much looking forward to getting our training and racing programs moving again as we gradually move out of the Covid-19 lockdown.
Come and join the fun!

The Association is grateful for the support of RS Sailing in this new venture, and thank Jon and RS for the use of their long-standing domain name.

Don’t forget – Sail Tera!
