Welcome to the RS Tera Northern region 

We encourage any Tera sailor to take part in the Summer Series events. For sailors who are new to the Tera or less experienced we always try to arrange on the water coaching for those at the back of the fleet. 

Winter Training weekends takes place at a variety of clubs across the region covering a mix of both coastal and inland venues. Coaching is provided by qualified RYA race coaches both on and off the water. Structured coaching is used so all Squad members reach their potential every weekend. 
Whether you can just sail a triangle, or are winning national events, the coaches will still help you progress.

Learning to sail and race is about more than just about sailing, it's about building friendships and learning from each other.  Evening social events are also planned for the Saturday evening during these weekends so the Sailors and families can build everlasting friendships. The Tera North summer series is organised and held at sailing clubs throughout the region. Venues for the summer series covers a collection of clubs from across the North East and the North West.  Summer Series events are usually held over a weekend which gives the opportunity for families and sailors to socialise together on the Saturday evening.  Most of the clubs we visit have camping facilities, galley and bar.
